Junior Vest 400
Size:
Junior Vest 400 is a flexible and warm mid layer that protects the body’s core without restricting arm movement. Knitted in thick Ullfrotté Original 400, it is ideal to wear over a base layer for extra insulation in cold conditions.
Sizing advice: Regular fit. Choose size based on the junior’s height (centilong).
- Seamless comfort: The body is circular knitted, meaning the vest has no side seams. This creates a soft feel and minimises the risk of chafing under outer layers.
- High double-layer collar: The high collar fits close around the neck and provides comfortable protection against cold drafts, helping retain warmth inside the garment.
- Insulating & moisture regulating: The dense terry loops on the inside bind large amounts of air. The merino wool efficiently transports moisture away and keeps you warm even if the material becomes damp during activity.
- Durable & easy care: The combination of merino wool and durable synthetic fibres makes the vest suitable for daily use. It is naturally antibacterial, pre-shrunk and can be machine washed at 60 degrees.

About Ullfrotté 400
Ullfrotté Original 400 grams is a thicker version of our classic material. The knitted construction with terry loops traps a large amount of air within the fabric, creating an insulating layer with few contact points against the skin. This provides effective warmth while also allowing moisture to be transported away.
Like all our Ullfrotté materials, it is made from merino wool combined with synthetic fibers, where the soft, crimped wool fibers provide comfort close to the body and the synthetic fibers add durability. Ullfrotté 400 is primarily used as a mid layer, for example in our classic Full Zip Jacket 400, and provides extra warmth in colder conditions or during cool summer evenings.
Do you know who made your garment?
Our garments are produced in our own factory in Östersund. Here, our seamstresses work in teams with different types of products, and each garment is sewn from start to finish by the same person. This creates a close connection to the craft and ensures high quality at every stage.
We do not work on piece rates; instead, we prioritize quality over quantity. If anything in the process needs adjustment, work is paused to ensure the final result meets our standards. This creates a secure working environment and supports precision and long-term sustainability.
Once the garment is finished, it is inspected and signed by the seamstress who made it. The name label in the garment is therefore not just a detail, but a mark of quality and a reminder that each piece is made by a skilled individual with deep knowledge of their craft.
