Garments with a long lifespan
Quality has always been an important part of Woolpower. That is why we often hear stories about garments that are used for many years and passed down through generations.
We believe that the most sustainable garment is the one that is used for a long time. That is why we want to make it easy for Woolpower garments to continue their life with someone else.
The sweater that proved it
To highlight the importance of long-lasting garments, we nominated Eva’s 11-year-old Woolpower sweater for a sustainability award within the outdoor industry. Despite many years of use, the sweater won because it still maintained the same function and quality.
Today, the sweater in the picture beside this text is nearly 15 years old and is still being used.

50 winters later
This is why we believe the shirt you no longer use still has plenty left to give. Sometimes, we are reminded of that in the most inspiring ways. Like when Anders sent us his Ullfrotté shirt, a garment that had been with him through nearly 50 years of Swedish winters, bike rides, and everyday life.
A Shirt That Has Been Along for 50 Years
As a 19-year-old, Anders from Gothenburg took part in a winter medicine course in Östersund, where participants learned about hypothermia and how the human body is affected by the Swedish winter climate. During the course, everyone in the group received an Ullfrotté shirt, and Anders kept his.
Since then, it has been with him through nearly 50 years of everyday life, winter travels, and bike rides to work. Now, after decades of use, the seams and repairs have finally begun to give way.
And we have had the privilege of taking care of this small piece of history.
