Briefs Xlong W’s LITE are knee-length base layer briefs in thin merino wool, specially developed for women who want to protect their thighs and seat from the cold. With a soft sewn-in elastic waistband and a flexible women’s fit, they are the perfect base layer for activities such as skiing, cycling or riding.
Sizing advice: Regular fit. Choose the size you usually wear in underwear.
The extra leg length on Briefs Xlong makes a big difference on cold days. By insulating the thighs and seat, you help the body maintain the temperature of the large muscle groups, which increases both comfort and performance during activity in cold environments.
- LITE material: Our thinnest material is rib knitted and contains 80% merino wool. It is designed to sit close to the body with efficient moisture transport, helping you stay dry regardless of activity level.
- Adapted cut: Constructed to stay in place without riding up or rolling. The soft waistband is sewn in for maximum comfort.
- Strategic seams: To minimise the risk of chafing during movement, the longitudinal seams are placed further towards the front of the leg, which is a clear advantage during activities such as riding.
- The antibacterial properties of wool: Merino wool inhibits bacterial growth, which means it is often enough to air the garment instead of washing it frequently. When washing is needed, the garment can be machine washed at 60 degrees.

About Woolpower LITE
Woolpower LITE is our thinnest material. It is rib-knitted and does not have terry loops, which allows the fabric to sit closer to the skin than Ullfrotté and feel cooler despite its high merino wool content. The construction creates more contact points that help release body heat, while the material continues to wick moisture away.
The material is made from fine merino wool and synthetic fibers, where the wool provides softness and comfort close to the body and the synthetic fibers add durability. The rib-knitted structure makes the garments flexible, elastic, and comfortable to wear directly against the skin.
Woolpower LITE is best used as a base layer, worn closest to the skin, and is particularly suitable for milder temperatures or higher-intensity activities. It also works well in a layering system together with Ullfrotté to adjust warmth and insulation.
Do you know who made your garment?
Our garments are produced in our own factory in Östersund. Here, our seamstresses work in teams with different types of products, and each garment is sewn from start to finish by the same person. This creates a close connection to the craft and ensures high quality at every stage.
We do not work on piece rates; instead, we prioritize quality over quantity. If anything in the process needs adjustment, work is paused to ensure the final result meets our standards. This creates a secure working environment and supports precision and long-term sustainability.
Once the garment is finished, it is inspected and signed by the seamstress who made it. The name label in the garment is therefore not just a detail, but a mark of quality and a reminder that each piece is made by a skilled individual with deep knowledge of their craft.
