This is why we believe the shirt you no longer use still has plenty left to give. Sometimes, we are reminded of that in the most inspiring ways. Like when Anders sent us his Ullfrotté shirt, a garment that had been with him through nearly 50 years of Swedish winters, bike rides, and everyday life.
A Shirt That Has Been Along for 50 Years
As a 19-year-old, Anders from Gothenburg took part in a winter medicine course in Östersund, where participants learned about hypothermia and how the human body is affected by the Swedish winter climate. During the course, everyone in the group received an mid layer, and Anders kept his.
Since then, it has been with him through nearly 50 years of everyday life, winter travels, and bike rides to work. Now, after decades of use, the seams and repairs have finally begun to give way.
And we have had the privilege of taking care of this small piece of history.
