Woolpower Sit Pad is a lightweight and warm seat pad made from recycled felt from our own production. It takes up minimal space in your backpack and provides a warm and dry place to sit, whether the ground is snowy, wet or cold.
Tip: Fits perfectly in Fjällräven Kånken Mini.
Size: Our Sit Pads are 5 mm thick and come in Large, Medium and Small to suit everything from solo trips to breaks with family and friends. Contains at least 50% merino wool.
- Lightweight & flexible: The pad weighs very little and can easily be rolled or folded to fit into your backpack. Tip: Size Medium fits perfectly in a Fjällräven Kånken, and Small fits a Kånken Mini.
- Insulates against the cold: Wool’s natural properties allow the pad to absorb moisture without feeling cold against the body, while also insulating from the cold ground.
- Unique appearance: As the material is made from recycled waste, the colour naturally varies depending on the source material.
- Resource-efficient material: Resource efficiency is at the core of our business model. The Sit Pad is made from production offcuts left over when cutting our base layers and mid layers. By using every fibre, we create a durable material that withstands tough outdoor use while reducing waste.

About recycled felt
Our recycled felt material is a step toward a more circular production. When we cut out garment pieces in our own factory, small leftover scraps are created. Instead of going to waste, this material is collected and transformed into felt.
The leftover material is sent to a partner who shreds and compresses it into a new material, which is then returned to us in rolls of varying thicknesses. Today, we reuse around 30 tons of surplus material each year to create products such as insoles and seat pads.
By making use of our own material, we can create new, functional products while reducing waste.
