Helmet Cap 400
Size: One size
Helmet Cap 400 is a lightweight yet very warm helmet cap knitted in thick Ullfrotté Original 400. It is specially designed to fit close to the head and properly cover the ears, making it ideal to wear under a helmet in extreme cold or demanding weather conditions.
- Protection for ears and neck: Designed with a deep cut that provides effective protection against cold drafts in the most sensitive areas.
- Moisture transport: The merino wool efficiently transports moisture away and keeps you dry and warm even if you sweat under the helmet. The wool is naturally antibacterial and helps prevent unwanted odours.
- Durable & easy care: The blend of merino wool and durable synthetic fibres ensures the cap keeps its shape year after year. It is pre-shrunk and can be machine washed at 60 degrees.

About Ullfrotté 400
Ullfrotté Original 400 grams is a thicker version of our classic material. The knitted construction with terry loops traps a large amount of air within the fabric, creating an insulating layer with few contact points against the skin. This provides effective warmth while also allowing moisture to be transported away.
Like all our Ullfrotté materials, it is made from merino wool combined with synthetic fibers, where the soft, crimped wool fibers provide comfort close to the body and the synthetic fibers add durability. Ullfrotté 400 is primarily used as a mid layer, for example in our classic Full Zip Jacket 400, and provides extra warmth in colder conditions or during cool summer evenings.
Do you know who made your garment?
Our garments are produced in our own factory in Östersund. Here, our seamstresses work in teams with different types of products, and each garment is sewn from start to finish by the same person. This creates a close connection to the craft and ensures high quality at every stage.
We do not work on piece rates; instead, we prioritize quality over quantity. If anything in the process needs adjustment, work is paused to ensure the final result meets our standards. This creates a secure working environment and supports precision and long-term sustainability.
Once the garment is finished, it is inspected and signed by the seamstress who made it. The name label in the garment is therefore not just a detail, but a mark of quality and a reminder that each piece is made by a skilled individual with deep knowledge of their craft.
