Certified for Safety

Woolpower Protection

Woolpower Protection is a layering system of certified workwear developed for professional use, where safety and functionality must work together. The garments are certified for flame resistance, antistatic protection, and protection against electric arc hazards.

What is Woolpower Protection?

Woolpower Protection is a range of certified workwear developed for professional use, where strict requirements for safety and functionality apply.

Wool is naturally flame resistant and does not melt, which helps reduce the risk of severe burn injuries. All garments in the Protection collection are certified for flame resistance, antistatic protection, and protection against electric arc hazards. They are designed to help prevent injuries from becoming more severe if an accident occurs.

Always wear appropriate protective clothing to reduce the risk of injury when working.

Layering System

The Protection range includes base layers, mid layers, underwear and accessories. Here you get a quick overview of how to dress according to the layering principle using Woolpower Protection.

Layer 1 – Base Layer

Woolpower Protection LITE

The thin base layer

Base layers in the Protection range are made from the Woolpower Protection LITE material.

Woolpower Protection LITE fabric is circular knitted in 1:1 rib. That means that heat is conducted more easily from the skin and out through the garment. This in turn makes the Protection LITE products perfect as a cooler alternative, for high-level activity and/or warmer temperatures.

The 19.5-micron Merino wool combined with 38% Viscose FR with no more seams than absolutely necessary makes a very soft, smooth and stretchy garment.

The garments are usually used at lower temperatures and lower activity levels. The Woolpower protection mid layer jackets are longer in the back and cuffs, which also have thumbholes.
